Wearing your Sling!!

Snuggle Hugs

1) First pass the tail through both rings then bring it back over the top ring and pass back under the bottom ring. Pull down on the tail until you have about a handful pulled through.
2) Pop the sling over your head so that the thickest part of the fabric is near the shoulder and the hammock falls across your body to the opposite hip and one arm is through the sling. The rings will be just above your breast and the tail will be pointing toward the floor, in front. The sling can be worn on either shoulder.
3) Prepare the hammock of the sling in front for the baby by forming a pocket. Then pick up baby!
4) Place your baby into the hammock so that their head is same side as the rings (newborn age). The baby should nestle into the hammock-like pocket. If you feel the baby is too low then hold on to the baby through the sling and pull more tail through the rings. Once the baby is in the correct position there is no need to undo the rings again unless baby grows or you decide on a different position to carry baby. You can even wrap baby in a blanket if you require extra heat or padding. As baby grows you move them so head is opposite the rings.

5) Extra tips for parent comfort. Make sure the fabric coming across the back covers the shoulder blade. As baby gets heavier you can fan the fabric coming over the shoulder out to cover from the top of the shoulder over the edge. The baby’s bottom should not be lower then your belly button.

POSITIONS

Breast feeding carry ~ The baby’s head same side as the rings their face at breast level, making sure baby is down in hammock of fabric, pull the tail of the sling until secure. The extra tail can be used for privacy. As baby gets bigger you can put them head opposite rings.

Semi-reclining ~ The baby's head pokes out and they are sitting up a bit more than in the breast feeding carry.

Facing outward ~ Place baby in with their back towards your belly and their legs crossed in front of them deep within the sling.... only suitable once baby can control their neck and head muscles.

Hip position ~ Place baby in the sling so that their legs are around your hips and their back is supported by the sling material....only suitable once baby can control their neck and head muscles.

Snuggle Time ~ Hold baby to you chest to chest and tuck sling under bottom and draw it up the back (sling should cover bottom to shoulder blades of baby) pull fabric tight with the tail.

Back position ~ Only suitable for older babies and toddlers that can grip. Baby is straddling your waist from the back and their back is supported by the sling material

Lap strap ~ Straddle babies legs over your own and place sling around their waist tighten as much or little as desired to restrict movement.

Additionally, it can be used as a harness, shopping cart strap, lightweight blanket and more.

Wearing your Twins!!

Snuggle Hugs

Two babies tummy to tummy with mommy. Heart to heart, chest to chest. You position one baby over each breast, facing mom, legs hanging out the bottom, then cinch up the tail very tight.

Two babies facing each other. Babies are sitting completely curled up, legs and all, in the carrier on opposite ends of the bag, facing each other. Start with baby #1 in the normal reclining position, head towards rings. Then put in twin, facing inward. (It is probably a good idea to keep one hand on baby. This position is mostly for newborns up to a few months only).

Doubling up with one baby on each hip. It is possible (with a little help) to wear two slings, one over each shoulder. Little babies can sleep in the lying down position, while larger babies can hip straddle.

Ideally, we recommend having two slings. One sling for mom and one for dad
