Babywearing
Babywearing Reasons, Instructions and Information
Babywearing is a term used to describe the parenting practice of carrying your baby close to your body in a soft cloth carrier.
We're passionate about babies. We want to keep them safe, healthy and happy. The happy part isn't always easy. Many new parents are shocked to realize that their little bundle of joy is so demanding. It's easy to get burnt out.
That's where wearing your baby comes into play. Parenting is no longer a struggle between meeting baby's needs and getting on with your life. Imagine feeding baby hands free. Being able to go about your daily tasks while your infant's needs are being met. If you have a fussy baby, one who cries all the time, babywearing is essential.
We've created these pages to educate and answer questions about babywearing. We believe that babywearing is essential for every parent. While babywearing tends to be practiced most in attachment parenting circles, the way you choose to parent really has little to do with the benefits that babywearing can bring.
The hard-working moms and dads of centuries ago would not have survived without being able to bring the baby along as they worked. At Nine Acres, we're hoping to help revive the lost art of carrying babies everywhere, allowing them to see the world from a safe and secure place where they are face-to-face with people and able to learn from the world around them.
There are so many ways to wear your baby, and so many tools that can help. We are striving to bring together a collection of articles and information that will help you decide which carrier will work best for you and give you the tools and support you will need to wear your baby comfortably and easily.
