The CatBird Baby Mei Tai Carrier is based on traditional Chinese baby carriers. Use from birth through toddlerhood in front facing in or out, hip, or back carries. Discreet breastfeeding is possible in the front carry. Fit is highly customizable through tying methods.
Our mei tais feature:
- integrated elastic for cinching base, making it easy to adjust for smaller babies or for an ergonomic facing-out carry,
- a "hideaway" hood, which can be tucked into the body of the carrier when not needed,
- supersoft brushed 100% cotton canvas base,
- standard length top straps of 72".
Pikkolo is a mei tai inspired carrier with the convenience of side-release buckle closures. Additionally, pikkolo's unstructured waist makes it possible to cinch the carrier narrower to enable small babies to ride legs-out or older infants to face forward comfortably. All buckles adjust both ways for an optimal fit. Use pikkolo:
